Gujarat Diploma Eligibility Criteria 2020

Candidates are advised to check their eligibility criteria before applying for Gujarat Diploma Admission 2020. The candidates must meet the minimum criteria set by the AdmissionCommittee for Provisional Diploma Courses (ACPDC). Candidates can refer the eligibility criteria given below.

Qualifying Exam

1. A candidate must have passed Secondary School Certificate Examination (class 10^th) with Mathematics, Science and English 
2. Candidate must have passed class 10^th and should have 2 years certificate course by NVCT or GCVT or IGTR (provided the candidate must have passed class 10^th with English, Mathematics and Science)
3. Candidate must have passed class 10^th with two years of certificate course conducted by the TEB (Technical Examination Board) (provided the candidate must have passed class 10^th with English, Mathematics and Science)
4.  Candidate must have passed class 8^th and certificate course of two or more years by NVCT or GCVT (provided the candidate have passed class 10^th examination from the Gujarat Board or from open schooling with Mathematics, English, Gujarati subjects) 

Qualifying Board

To e eligible for Gujarat Diploma Admission 2020, a candidate must have passed the qualifying examination from any of these given boards. 

1. Gujarat Board
2. CBSE
3. CISCE
4. International School Board
5. NIOS
6. Sanskrit Pathshala
7. Schooling under Jawaharlal Navodya Vidyalaya Scheme upto class 8^th In institute located I Gujarat 

Any candidate from CBSE, CSICE or International School Board or NIOS or Sanskrit Pathshala will be eligible only when the institute where the candidate studied is located in 

1. Gujarat
2. Union Territories of Diu, Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli and whose parents are origin of Gujarat 

Domicile

Candidates must meet any one of the given eligibility criteria to be eligible for admission.

1. The parent(s) of the candidate does not reside in Gujarat but is Gujarati origin and has passed the qualifying examination
2. The parent(s) of candidate is of Gujarati origin, but reside outside India but the candidate has passed the qualifying examination
3.  The parent(s) of the candidate is of Gujarati origin and serving outside the state for ventral of any other state government

Candidates who have passed the qualifying exam from other states are also eligible for admission on certain conditions. 

Gujarat Diploma Admission 2020 – Reservation Criteria

The exam authorities offer certain reservation criteria to SC/ST/EWS ad socially backward classes. These seats will never be open for general category candidates. Check the reservation criteria given below in table.

Gujarat Diploma 2020 Counselling

The counselling of Gujarat Diploma Admission 2020 will be conducted via online mode. The candidates will have to register for that first on the official web portal of AdmissionCommittee for Provisional Diploma Courses (ACPDC).

After registration, authorities will release the provisional merit list with name of shortlisted candidates. Soon after a final merit list will also be released by the authorities. Only those candidates who have their names in the final merit list will be called for seat allotment procedure.

Registration

Candidates should buy the information booklet and IN for Gujarat Diploma Admission 2020 from designed branches of ICICI Bank before registration. The PIN can also be purchased via online mode. After this, candidates can follow the steps given below:

1. Visit the official website of ACPDC
2. Click on ‘Registration to Diploma Courses’
3. Select the course to apply from: First year Diploma after SSC/TEB/ITI
4. Enter security code displayed on the screen
5. Click on ‘New Registration’
6. Enter details asked on the screen like personal details, contact details, ICICI booklet details, etc
7. Select password
8. Select security question and its answer

After successful registration, candidate will receive a one-time-password on the registered mobile number. The candidate will then need to enter the OTP to generate Log in ID. After this, candidate will have to enter details like reservation details (category), qualifying details, security code, etc. Finally, candidate will have to enter the percentage of marks school index number, subject-wise marks and total marks obtained in the qualifying examination. 

Document Verification

After all the details have been entered and registration is complete, the candidate will have to complete the process of document verification.  For this, a candidate will have to take the print out of the registration form. Candidates will also need to bring all his/her documents for the document verification process.

Gujarat Diploma Merit List 2020

The authorities are expected to release a provisional merit list of Gujarat Diploma Admission 2020 in July 2020. The provisional merit list will consist of names of shortlisted candidates. These shortlisted candidates will be then able to move forward with choice filling process. The result of choice filling will be released in the first week of July 2020 followed by the release of final merit list of Gujarat Diploma Admission 2020. 

Merit List preparation for Diploma after SSC

The merit list of Gujarat Diploma Admission 2020 after SSC is prepared on the basis of marks of the candidates secured in the Mathematics, English and Science. The total marks to considered are 300.

Tie-Breaking:

In case two or more candidates have the same marks or rank in SSC exam, the tie-breaking rules are as follows.

1. Candidate with higher marks in Mathematics will get higher rank
2. If the problem does not solve, candidate with higher percentage in Science will be preferred
3. If the tie still exists, the candidate with higher percentage in English and Mathematics  together will get a higher rank
4. If the tie still exists, the candidate with a higher percentage in English and Science together will get a higher rank
5. If the problem still exists, candidate with higher marks in the qualifying exam will be given a higher rank
6. If the tie still exists, candidate who is older in age will be preferred

Merit List preparation for Diploma after ITI and TEB

For certificate holders of ITI and TEB, the merit list will be based on the marks scored in theory paper in the final year examination of the certificate course, after converting the total marks to 300. 

Tie-Breaking:

In case two or more candidates have the same marks or rank in ITI/TEB exam, the tie-breaking rules are as follows.

1. Candidate  with higher marks in practical for TEB certificate holders or marks obtained in Trade Practical in case of ITI will be given a higher rank
2. If he tie is still there, candidate with higher total marks will be given higher rank
3. If the tie still exists, candidate with higher marks in Mathematics   in SSC examination will be given a higher rank
4. If the tie still exists, the candidate with higher marks in Science in SSC will be given higher rank
5. If the tie still exists, Candidate with higher total marks in Mathematics, Science, and English in SSC will be given a higher rank  

Admission Choice Filling for Gujarat Diploma Admission 2020

Candidates who have been shortlisted via the final merit list of Gujarat Diploma Admission 2020 will be able to fill their choices for the mock round. The authorities will announce the final merit list after the result announcement of the mock round.

The actual choice filling rounds will be done in two rounds. The process will be conducted online and the candidates will be able to edit their choices, lock them or add new choices. It is advised for candidates to lock as many choices as possible to increase the chances of admission.  

Gujarat Diploma 2020 Seat Allotment

The authorities will announce the result of seat allotment after each round of choice filling. The candidates who will be allotted seats will have to download and take the printout of allotment letters, and the challan for the payment of fees. Candidates can then pay the fees in cash at the designed ICICI Ban or make an online payment.
